Depression & Gaming: A Self-Care Workshop
Hosted by Psychology for Geeks — A nonprofit blending hobbies & mental health
Join us for a unique, hands-on workshop that combines mental health education with the joy of learning and playing a new tabletop game — and yes, you’ll get to keep the game at the end!
Led by a qualified mental health professional, this session is designed to help you better understand depression and how to manage it, all while connecting through play. You’ll walk away with practical tools, new insights, and a fun game you can share with friends or use for solo self-care time.
What’s Included:
--An interactive presentation on depression and everyday coping strategies
--Learn to play a carefully chosen tabletop game that promotes connection and positive mood
--Keep the game as part of your self-care toolkit
--A safe, welcoming environment to ask questions and connect with others
This ticket cost supports the facilitator, covers the cost of the game, and helps fund future events by Psychology for Geeks, a nonprofit dedicated to using hobbies to promote mental health awareness and community well-being.
Let’s talk mental health — and have fun doing it.
